Faye Nell Smoot 
(October 18, 1928 - September 15, 2009) 

Graveside services for Faye Nell Smoot 80 of Grapeland, will be 11:00 AM Friday at Denson 
Cemetery with Rev. Jack Smith officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey 
& Foster. 

Mrs. Smoot passed away Tuesday in Palestine. She was born October 18, 1928 in Houston 
County, to William Henry and Ira Virginia Davidson Platt. 

She was a retired LVN from the Crockett State School. 

Mrs. Smoot was preceded in death by parents and three brothers. She is survived by daughter 
Brenda Wells and husband Billy of Tyler, sons Ronnie Smoot and wife Patti of Slocum, and 
Michael Smoot, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. 

Condolence calls will be received from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday at Bailey & Foster Chapel, 
Grapeland.
