Cleon Salmon (February 1, 1936 - September 14, 2009) Services for Cleon Salmon age 73, of Grapeland, will be at 3:00 P.M. Thursday at the First Baptist Church, Grapeland with Dr. Jack Shoultz officiating. Masonic graveside services will follow in Guiceland Cemetery with members of the Grapeland Masonic Lodge # 473. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster. Mr. Salmon died Monday at Mother Francis Hospital in Tyler. He was born February 1, 1936 in Salmon, Texas to M.D. (Jake) Salmon and Edna Coleman Smith Salmon. Mr. Salmon was a member and former Deacon of the First Baptist Church, Grapeland and Grapeland Masonic Lodge # 473. He owned and operated Salmon Building Supplies for many years. Mr. Salmon was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Annis Salmon, sons Tracy Salmon and wife Vickie, Mark Salmon and wife Kim, and Ted Salmon and wife Kimberly all of Grapeland, sisters Joyce Keen of Grapeland, Mirnie Roberson of Palestine, brother Floyd Salmon of Grapeland, eleven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Tommy Salmon, Jamie Salmon, Jake Salmon, Marcus Salmon, Zelotis Shaver, Cecil Ray Chambers, Franco Rae and Marty Denny. Condolence calls will be received from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday.
