Mary Ellen Potts Easterly

February 22, 1926 – September 13, 2007

Mary Ellen Potts Easterly, 81, of College Station passed away Thursday, September 13, 2007 at College Station Medical Center.

Graveside services are set for 11 a.m. Monday, September 17 at Evergreen Memorial Park with Dr. Jerry House officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until service time Monday.

Mrs. Easterly was born February 22, 1926 in Lufkin and resided in College Station since 1991, having previously residing in Nacogdoches. She was a 1943 graduate of Crockett High School, a retired nurse and a member of the Texas Nurses Association. She was a member of the Methodist Church. She was also a seamstress and enjoyed quilting.

Survivors include her sons, Jimmy Easterly and wife, Terry, of Bryan and Jerry Easterly and wife, Nancy, of Houston; her sons' father, Gerald Easterly of Crockett; grandchildren, Marlene Easterly and fiancée, Mark Cogwin, Carissa Todd and husband, Brandon, all of Houston, Jason Easterly and wife, Melissa, of Dallas, and Darby Humplik and husband, Mathew, of Denver, Colo.; aunt, Martha Jo Currie and family of Lufkin; brother-in-law, Morris Easterly and wife, Bernice, and family of Crockett; and numerous cousins and other relatives.
