WALKER CEMETERY

Located 5 Mi. NE of Ratcliff. Turn on oiled road just out of Ratcliff to the left and go to Mt. Vernon Church. Turn again left on U.S. Forestry Rd. and go to U.S. Forestry Rd. 511. Turn left and go about one Mi. Pass the Belle Conner small frame house with the old log home behind it.  The Cemetery is just beyond, on the left side of the road with large cedar trees in it.

The Cemetery has been abandoned for years and very little signs of it remain, with the exception of a few broken tombstones. It is situated on the Y. G. Walker Survey. James Albert & Bertha Best, and Lottie Harrell have supplied most of the names of those buried there.

Bertha Best & Nina Craig compiled the following list. Some are from readings on the existing tombstones there several years ago for Houston County Cemetery Book No. II.
