JOHN SHERIDAN GRAVE - AUGUSTA

At Augusta a county road N past Augusta Cemetery and just across Silver Creek bridge. On the right is site of home of John and Lucinda Sheridan. After Indians killed him and Daniel McLean, Sheridan was buried near his home.

Original grave marker broken a few years ago; Grandson Neil Sheridan placed pieces of marker in Augusta Cemetery by wife Lucinda and son Jacob. Story related on Historical markers in cemetery and in Augusta Park FM 227.
