SHERIDAN CEMETERY (Grapeland Area)
William Nugent Sheridan acquired land on which this cemetery is located Nov.
15,1869. (HCDR, Vol. R, page 153) A low iron ore rock fence surrounds the
cemetery which is located to the back of the old Sheridan home. Marvin Lee
and Billie Jean Musick are current property owners.
To reach the cemetery, take FM-227 west of Grapeland and travel about two
and half miles, turning right onto dirt road known as Pridgen - Sheridan
Road and driving some four miles more.
This has been verified for the third edition by Miss Nettie Brown and Mrs.
Marvin Lee Musick.
