POLLARD GRAVES (Private) in Lovelady, Texas

This private burial ground is located south of the Lovelady State Bank by traveling on the first dirt road to left from SH-19 some
two and half miles to a four-way division of the road. Three have iron gates to the Stevens' property and the fourth gate is for
the Pineland Paper Company property. Take that road and travel about a mile from the graded road to the right on a log road.

There will be the two graves on the former plantation.

G. W. Pollard, husband of Almeda, is buried in Lovelady Evergreen Cemetery.

Almeda and her son are buried in this isolated place, and vandals have attempted breaking into the concrete vaults.

Mr. and Mrs. J. Woody Hambrick and Mrs. J. B. Dodd first discovered and reported the hard to reach burial sites for the second edition. J. Woody Hambrick verified for the Sesquicentennial issue.
