NEWSOM FAMILY CEMETERY

This over one-hundred year old graveyard is a few miles N/NE of the Waneta Community in Anderson County, not far from the Houston County line.  It is fenced beside the road on land that once belonged to Alonzo Newsom, but needs care.

Current survey by Leonel and Virginia Ramey, C. S. and Williene Story and Kay Wolf of Rt. 3, Grapeland. Kay and her mother, Mrs. Nina (S.D.) Watkins surveyed the cemetery for the 1978 edition.
