JONES - KYLE FAMILY CEMETERY - SAN PEDRO COMMUNITY

Located off FM 2022 NE from Crockett between San Pedro Creek and FM 227.  On private property not accessible to public. In mid-1800's was plantation of Jesse R Jones.

Read previously by Ella Frances Dodd. Some recall this being a rather large cemetery, well kept, with graves of family and their slaves. Mrs. Dodd reported mounds of a few graves, but the only marker that of Matthew Gideon Kyle, early resident and merchant of Augusta. Names of those known to be buried here given by Mrs. E. E. Tucker (nee Mary Jo Kyle), Elkhart.

Resubmitted 1985 by Hazel Moore, member Houston County Historical Commission.
