LUNDY GEORGE BRINSON3 (STEPHEN2, MATTHEW1) was born 03 Aug 1840 in Georgia, and died 27 Dec 1915. He married (1) MARY ELIZABETH WORTHINGTON. She was born 12 Jan 1846, and died 08 Oct 1884. He married (2) SALLY MORRIS THOMPSON. She was born 09 Aug 1852 in Alabama, and died 13 Sep 1941. George Brinson Lundy was married a second time to Mrs. Sallie Daniels, widowed sister of Mrs. Dolly Worthington, wife of William Branch Worthington, who was a brother of George's first wife. George's second marriage took place on Neville's Prairie in 1887 and about 1895, George moved his family into Crockett. Both George and his son Ralph were elders in the Presbyterian Church on the prairie and in Crockett. For a year after moving to Crockett, George worked for a wholesale grain firm in Galveston. On his return to Crockett, he and Mrs. Thomas Thompson, brother of Mrs. Lunch, formed the mercantile firm of Lundy and Thompson where he worked until his death in December 1915. He is buried in Glenwood Cemetery in Crockett. His wife, Sally Morris (Thompson) Lundy is buried beside him. More info in: The History of Houston County Texas. Son of William Bartley Wall and Sarah Holden of Amite Co, MS. Went to Texas in 1859 at the age of 21. Taught school for 1 year. He joined the Crockett Southrons in 1861 which soon became part of Gen. Louis T. Wigfall's battalion. He enlisted as a private but was soon elected to 2nd Lieut. of his company. He was wounded twice thrugh the right hand and left arm at Gaines' Mill. For gallant conduct he was promoted to captain. He was commander of the post at Crockett until the close of the Civil War. In 1878, he was elected county judge of Houston County, Texas. He is buried in the north section of Glenwood Cemetery. Other children:
