Shade McLemore was born 1835 North Carolina and died 1925 Houston Co., TX.  He is buried in the Kennard Community Cemetery, Kennard, Houston Co., TX.  He married Sarah Patton February 2, 1894 in Houston Co., TX.  She was born March 6, 1858 and died August 6, 1919; the daughter of Nelson & Sarah Patton.  She is buried in the Kennard Community Cemetery, Kennard, Houston Co., TX.  They had two children. 

The The 1910 census indicates that Sarah was Shade's second wife.  His first wife's name was Hager.

NELSON PATTON FAMILY:

 Nelson Patton and his sister, Mary, settled in the Fairview Community in the early 1840's or 1850's near Kennard, TX.  Nelson married Sarah; his sister Mary married a man named Blunt.  Unknown if this Blunt is a nickname or a surname.

Nelson Patton and Sarah had six boys and tow girls: Joe, Warren, Green, A.B., John, Aaron, Annie and Sarah.

Annie Patton married Joe Pennell and had son son named John Pennell.

Sarah married Shade McLemore and had two children named Irene who had no children and Fred who had a son Isaiah, an Medical Doctor in San Diego, CA.

John Patton married Savanah Denman and they had eleven children: Martha Ann, Dosha, Estella, Emma, Jane, Alice, Jestine, Aaron, Joseph Stone, Adolphas, and Zitiah.  Martha Ann married Henry Dunkin and had a son, John.  Dosha married Frank Cooper and had two children, James and Esponola who lived in the Wheeler Spring Community.  Emma had three girls, Fanny McKinney lives in Houston, Juanita lives in Galveston.  Alice married a Washington and has two children, Robert D. and Reba who live in Galveston.  Aaron married Mamie Scott and had eight children, Percell, Andrew, Oliver, Willie Oscar, Mary, Ruth, Valree, Margie.  Mary lives in Corpus, Valree in Oakland, CA, Willie Oscar, Oliver, Andrew, Margie and Ruth live in Houston.  Joseph Stone and one son Joseph II live in Detroit, Michigan.  Adolphus married Carrie Lamb and they have five boys and six girls, Sallie, Rutine, Geneva and L.D. live in Crockett; Alma in Detroit, Michigan; Velma in Mexico; Lester Ray in Houston; Dennis in Dallas.

Estella married Robert Jones of the Tadmore Community.  Their children are: Johnnie, Albert, Oscar, Vester, Ernest, Jamerison, Clara, Mary Ann, Ella, Minnie, and Della.

After Robert died, Estella remarried.  She had another boy Jim and girl, Joy Mae.  Mary Ann, Oscar, and Vester live in California; Johnnie Della, Joy Mae, Jim live in Diboll, TX; Ernest Jamerison Jones in Crockett, TX.
