was born January 06, 1875 in Buffalo, Leon County,
TX, and died February 17, 1941 in Conroe, Montgomery
County, TX. He married Ida Yates April 29, 1905 in
Lufkin, Angelina County, TX, daughter of Samuel
Yates and Della Waller. She was born February 03,
1879 in Charlotte, Dickson County, TN, and died May
24, 1960 in Conroe, Montgomery County, TX.
Albert Jackson "Ab"
Johnson was the son of Richard Johnson & Margaret
Williamson. Richard Johnson was born about
1841 in Alabama; Margaret Williamson was born about
1850 Alabama and died about 1880. She died in
a Yellow Fever epidemic and left three children,
Laura, Lee, and Albert. When their father was
no longer able to care for the children after the
death of their mother, relatives took the children
to raise. Laura went to live with a family by
the surname of Cagle. She later married a man
by the name of Gorden. Lee and Albert went to
live with an aunt & uncle by the name of John &
Nancy (Williamson) Smith. Richard
Johnson later remarried and had another family, but
Laura, Lee, and Albert chose to remain with the
families that had been taking care of them and never
returned to live with their father.
