T. TEAL was born in Crockett, Houston Co., TX in 1868; he
died October 27, 1941. His parents died when he was very
young, and he was reared by an uncle, George Johnson, who was a
tin smith. He learned the trade of tinner; attended and
finished the public school.
He married Mary Howard on November
20, 1890 Houston Co., TX; she died before 1930. He opened
his own business located in front of what is now the U.S. Post
Office.
