Henry Johnson Phillips was born Jan  12, 1821 in Tennessee; he died Jan 13, 1903 in Wesley Chapel, Houston Co., TX.

He married Sarah Jane Brashears.  She was born Oct 29, 1825 in Decatur, TN and died Jun 11, 1917 in Crockett, Houston Co., TX.  She was the daughter of Absolam Brashears (1799-1847) and Ellender "Nellie" Ross (1801-1875)  Absolam Brashears was born and died in North Carolina.

3. Isabella Jane Phillips; b. 1848 Decatur, TN, d. Daily, Houston Co., TX.

4. Sarah Ann Phillips; b. Sep 30, 1850 Decatur, TN, d. Aug 30, 1897 Wesley Chapel, Houston Co., TX.  She married William Jack Ashmore.

5. Phenelphia Phillips; b. Jan 12, 1853 Wesley Chapel, Houston Co., TX, d. Mar 18, 1928 Crockett, Houston Co., TX.  She married George Washington Clines.

6. Margaret C. Phillips; b. 1855 Wesley Chapel, Houston Co., TX.

7. Laura Phillips; b. Sep 14, 1857 Wesley Chapel, Houston Co., TX, d. Sep 14, 1932 Jacksonville, Cherokee Co., TX.  She married Woodson Ormond Wade.

8. Amanda Emarintha "Rentha" Phillips; b. Mar 1859 Wesley Chapel, Houston Co., TX.   She married Jeptha Wesley Crager  (1859-1929).  Children: Idella "Adell" Crager, Ida Crager, Minnie Crager, and Sarah Geneva Crager.

9. Absolem Washington Phillips; b. Nov 26, 1862 Wesley Chapel, Houston Co., TX, d. Jan 12, 1942 Crockett, Houston Co., TX.  He married Margaret E. Berry.
