He married MARJORIE "MARGIE" MEADORS, daughter of J. Robert "Bob" MEADORS and NANNIE ?. She was born 1902 in AR; she died May 5, 1989 Crockett, Houston Co., TX; buried in the Capt. Roland Dodson family cemetery located on the Rusty Rancho ranch, east of Latexo, TX on the ranch Roland & Margie Dodson owned until their death.
